Denver, CO // Part 3 // Florence & the Machine

This part of our trip was by far my favorite! I got to see one of my favorite bands, Florence & the Machine, play at the beautiful Red Rocks Ampitheatre (right outside Denver - in Morrison, CO)
Trekking up to the stage and seats was quite a journey! We had to stop several times to catch our breath haha.
"Creation Rock" - there are two gigantic monoliths jutting up from the ampitheatre, creating the "bowl" where the stage is nestled. The one above is named Creation Rock, while the other side is named Ship Rock.
View from climbing the steps. These stairs are used by athletes who train for marathons and such.
"Ship Rock"
View from our seats - perfect! We were centered both up from the stairs and in the middle of the stage :)

This experience was so magical. The lighting, the crowd, the venue. Florence sounded just the same as she does on her records, only better! She danced around the stage barefoot, twirling in circles. She made jokes, asked the audience to sing and dance along, and really made the evening as interactive as possible. I'll remember this forever, and I am so glad I got to be there!

As their encore, they played this song in tribute to the victims in Aurora, CO which was touching beyond words.
